Dent du Geant Normal route
Dent du Géant is a striking granite tower in the Mont Blanc massif, and its tooth-like shape immediately catches the eye. For many years, it was considered one of the more difficult peaks to reach, which has given it a special reputation among mountaneers.

1200 € | 1 client, guiding only 1:1
Price includes guiding. Additional costs (for both the guest and the guide) – accommodation in the valley, accommodation in the huts, and the gondola pass – are not included in the price and are charged separately. Estamated costs are approximately 320€.
The Dent du Géant (4013 m) is one of the 4000-meter peaks with very comfortable access. The Torino Hut (3375 m) can be reached from Courmayeur via gondola. The first day is used for some acclimatization and preparation by climbing on nearby peaks. A common choice is the Aiguilles Marbrées (3535 m), with an interesting rocky ridge close to the hut. Another very good option is the slightly more distant Aiguille de Toula (3528 m), which offers several climbs — either via the Normal Route or via an ice-snow route from the North.
On the second day, we set out early from the hut, crossing the glacier to the rocky base of the Dent du Géant. The rocky base involves easier climbing, which can be quite challenging in terms of route-finding. It brings us to a large plateau from where only about 300 meters of climbing remain to the summit. Unlike the approach to this point, the continuation involves vertical climbing that requires a high level of concentration. Big ropes are fixed along the most difficult sections, making passage easier. The summit offers no space for a picnic — just enough room for two people to stand. The descent back to the plateau is very easy on the knees, as we rappel the entire way. After finishing the rappels, we take a short rest while enjoying views of the highest peaks of the Alps. We return to the hut via the same route, followed by a gondola ride back to the car.
